Quilt Reveal: Whose Rights? from High Road Quilter

 

In my last post, I showed you my finished Boundless quilt. One of the last things I did on that quilt was add applique to the diamonds that are in the quilt.

As I cut the applique, I collected the cutouts on the table. A sane quilter would have simply swiped the cuttings into a trash can without a thought and decided what to have for dinner. A smart quilter would have cut the applique over a trash can and the cuttings would already be in the trash.

New Book Mary Witherwax from Collector with a Needle

We are so pleased to announce the release of our new book, "Mary Witherwax".  

She's a generous and full book at 138 pages!

There are full color photos as well as a gallery of finished quilts.  The finished examples include bed and wall sized quilts.  We include the history of the original quilt, as we know it today.


Full size patterns include the full alphabet to use your name like Mary and I did.  

Also included are some alternate applique blocks to add to the fun.

Quilt Reveal: Orange 2-2-22 from High Road Quilter

 

The Project Quilting Challenge this week is Kitchen. There were two things pushing me to do the challenge. 

1. Today is February 2, 2022 and I wanted to put that date as a finish date on a quilt and it is taking me too long to finish the back of Lansing Leaves. 

2. I got the idea to make an orange quilt and there are orange scraps on my table.
